From 1 January 2026, Google will remove the ability to read content from other email accounts via POP3. The instructions below will therefore no longer apply after 1 January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You should not forward your email from the email address(es) you have here with us to your gmail address because if someone sends you spam it will also be forwarded to gmail. From Google&#8217;s side, it looks like we are sending spam to their servers and they will therefore block our IP addresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What you should do instead is use a feature that Google calls <code>Check mail from other accounts<\/code>. You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/mail\/answer\/21289?hl=en-EN\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this Google support article<\/a> to set up the feature on your Google account. Select the instructions on how to set up an account under <code>Step 2: Add another email account<\/code> and follow them. Use the following settings when setting up the account:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Username<\/strong> is your email address.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Password<\/strong> is the one you chose when the email account was created. If you&#8217;ve lost the password, you can set a new one according to <a href=\"https:\/\/supporttest.hemsida.eu\/en\/artikel\/how-do-i-change-the-password-for-an-email-account\/\" data-type=\"ht_kb\" data-id=\"719\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">these instructions<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>POP server<\/strong> can be found via <a href=\"https:\/\/supporttest.hemsida.eu\/en\/artikel\/which-server-is-my-web-hosting-account-located-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">this guide<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Port<\/strong> should be set to <code>995<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Leave a copy of the retrieved message on the server&#8221;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail&#8221;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Google will thereafter fetch emails directly into gmail from the email account you have with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\">Please note that Google decides how often Gmail should check your email account with us for new mail.
