For the sake of accuracy, however, the instructions here will refer to the database engine as MariaDB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, access to your databases is only enabled for localhost. Sometimes, however, it&#8217;s necessary to connect to a database on our servers from another remote server\/computer. You can check your IP address by visiting <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ipnummer.org\" target=\"_blank\">ipnummer.org<\/a> from the server\/computer you wish to connect from. Enter the IP address under <code>Host<\/code>.
